Available in mango, coconut and watermelon flavours, the balm itself is rather on the dry side and non-greasy, meaning it's a great hydrator without overloading the lips. I can easily apply gloss or lipstick over the surface after using these as a base product, but can equally apply over the top of a stain for a kick of hydration. Having managed to accidentally dig my nails in to the balm upon opening, I've also discovered they work brilliantly as a hand or cuticle cream! The formula soothes away dryness quickly and effectively, without leaving behind residue or greasiness - probably an unintentional design benefit, but I'm all about the multi-tasking. I can't deny these were obviously inspired by the huge success of the EOS balms (which are more expensive at around £7.50 each) and our increasing obsession with lip balms in general, but these are fun and effective - and a great way to spend a fiver.
The Palmer's Flipbalms are available in mango, coconut and watermelon flavours, priced £4.99 each.
