Currently Obsessed With: Five Products I Can't Get Enough Of Right Now

There may always be something new launching into the beauty world, but a lot of the time it just seems like another face cream or lipgloss. For me to get excited there has to be something really unique and worthy of an investment, as I want you guys to get excited about it too. Occasionally new products land on my desk and they end up on my dressing table without me thinking much of them, only for a few weeks later for me to realise I'm actually a little bit obsessed with their understated nature and fabulous results. That's when you know you're onto a good thing: when they integrate seamlessly and offer what you need, without being all singing and all dancing. So here are the five products I'm currently obsessed with and am reaching for pretty much every day...

Jo Malone Nashi Blossom Cologne (£44.00 for 30ml)
So many of the Jo Malone fragrances end up as permanent fixtures on my dressing table, but this initially appealed in more of a visual sense than a fragrant one. However, a few weeks later and I'm reaching for it on almost a daily basis, thanks to its lightweight and refreshing nature that goes with absolutely everything. Fruity notes of pear, crisp apple and mouth-watering lemon mix with the vivid scents of nashi blossom, voluptuous rose and softest white musk, leaving behind a deliciously spring-like fragrance that's bright and breezy. It's not too floral and not too citrusy, meaning it's almost universal in its appeal - and the bottle doesn't look half bad either!

Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette (£45.00)
Over the last few years we've all become so obsessed with the Naked Palettes that nothing else has really got a look in, but after I used up mine completely (when does that ever happen?) I turned to this as a replacement. Featuring twelve shades designed to smoke, highlight and diffuse to create endless looks, this curated collection of colors and textures combines the best of classic nude palettes with an edge. With an array of colours (ranging from earth tones to warmer chocolates and accents of lavender) to choose from, this is the perfect daily palette that takes you from season to season with ease. The texture is beautifully soft, the eyeshadows blend beautifully and they don't budge at all throughout the day; the subtle elegant packaging also makes this a bit different from the norm. A wise investment if you love a nude or smokey eye, but want to try something new.

L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Masque (£5.99)
When this new collection from L'Oreal launched it did so with an almighty bang, so I have to admit it sat on my bathroom shelf for quite some time before I actually picked it up and gave it a go. Although the shampoo and conditioner are affordable and effective, it's this pre-wash mask that I'm loving. Infused with three refined clays to help absorb oil and impurities for deeply cleansed, light and lifted roots, the result is swishy hair without any added weight. The majority of us suffer with oily roots and dry ends, so applying this turquoise concotion to the roots of hair before your usual wash will help to balance out the extremes and make your look last even longer. I've found I can get away with an additional day or two out of each shampoo, with the need for dry shampoo and styling definitely reduced. My friends were raving about this before I was, so you know that's the sign of a great product!

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Grand Entrance Mascara (£22.00)
Possibly my favourite mascara of the moment, this triple effect mascara formula with 'precision brush technology' is specially designed to lift and add volume. They claim it delivers an 80% increase in lash length and volume, as well as a 162% increase in curl; I haven't been able to get my measuring tape out to verify those facts, but it certainly creates an incredibly full lash line with a fabulous lifted result. It's buildable and non-clumpy, creating a great flutter that almost looks as if I'm wearing false lashes. I've never used an Elizabeth Arden mascara before this, but it's definitely one I would repurchase in a heartbeat. My other mascaras can't really compete, even when I use a lash-extending base coat. It may be pricey, but boy is it worth it!

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush (£14.50)
One of the first products I remember other bloggers raving about when I first started documenting my beauty journey was Daniel Sandler's Watercolour Blush; nearly six years later and I'm finally in on the hype! The water-light formula is silicone based and oil free, doesn't clog pores and suits every skin type; it can be applied either with a brush or using fingers, adding a touch of colour and instant radiance to the skin. Unlike traditional powder or cream blushers, the finish is so light it looks and feels like you're wearing nothing at all - you just look naturally flushed and youthful. It dries very quickly to leave a rub-proof result, but it's also incredibly buildable if you want to create a stronger look. Available in fifteen shades of blush and bronze, this is one product you need to try to see what the fuss is about.

If you were to pick one of my five current favourites to try, which would it be and why?
