1. Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Verte (£84.00)
Inspired by her favorite flowers and colours in her garden, Tory Burch’s newest fragrance collection is named Jolie Fleur and encapsulates three distinct scents. This ‘Verte’ number is described as being tomboyish and easygoing, but that doesn’t mean it won’t appeal to those more elegant or feminine too. The delicious bottle holds a scent that encapsulates the crisp and fresh scent of lily of the valley, mixed with hints of jasmine, mandarin, and neroli oil, providing a modern twist on an otherwise classic ideal. Available exclusively from Harrods and Tory Birch boutiques from May, it's definitely not an impulse purchase - but it's a great introduction to green scents, and one that will provide a timeless take on the trend.
2. Molton Brown Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise (£39.00)
You may associate 'lily of the valley' with heavy, dated and musky fragrances your Nan used to wear, but Molton Brown have updated the concept by adding in a touch of 'Star Anise'. This ultra fresh and modern eau de toilette combines the floral notes of lily of the valley, magnolia and peony, with the deeper notes of ylang-ylang, sandalwood and white musk. If you've ever turned your nose up at lily-based scents in the past, I can assure you this is not what you expect; it's lighter, younger and fresher, reaching out to a slightly different audience to those that have previously bought from Molton Brown. What's even better is that this makes the perfect base for fragrance mixing when you want to add a touch of something spicier over the top.
3. Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent (£65.00)
Although not traditionally 'green', this beautiful new scent from British perfumier Miller Harris certainly provides a refreshing and unusual route into spring. With notes of bergamot, black pepper, cardamom, iris and amber, alongside a vetiver, tonka bean and moss base, this is a rather masculine take on the traditional refreshing green scents we're used to. It's incredibly uplifting and energising, but you need only a little spritz on pulse points to last you the whole day. I adore this scent and have been wearing it on days when I want to make a statement, but interestingly it's been selling incredibly well amongst the male Miller Harris customer too; proof that when a scent is this good, it transcends sexes and tastes!
