Pinks aren't usually my cup of tea as I feel a little too girlie wearing them (maybe something to do with the fact I wore pink lipstick as a child for ballet shows!) I usually opt for nudes or bold reds, strong cerise pinks or berry shades, but all of the colours within the collection are really wearable. Helen's shade is more like a shimmer, providing a pink iridescent result that looks great over a stain or equally as fab on its own; Naomi's is very subtle and perfectly suited to days when you want the focus to be on your eyes; Eva's colour is bolder, richer and would look incredible with a dusting of bronzer if your holiday tan has already faded; Blake's is slightly metallic and a little bit more fashion forward, updating the traditional pink with a slightly modern twist.
These look quite strong in the bullet, but all four are actually much subtler when applied to the lips - I swatched and photographed them all, but they barely showed up enough to warrant inclusion in this post! It's more about enhancing your natural tone than creating a strong look. Although the formula isn't particularly long-lasting or hydrating, it's comfortable to wear and provides a good finish on the lips. I was incredibly surprised to find out the range had been around for so long, proving there's obviously something people love so much about Color Riche to keep it as one of the most popular lipsticks available in Boots and Superdrug to this day! Maybe it's the sweet vanilaa scent, maybe it's the rich golden packaging, but there's something about Color Riche lipsticks that we just can't seem to resist. Happy Birthday my colourful friend.
