The YOSO Pro: A New Approach To Skincare (Cleaner Than Ever Before)

Cleansers, toners and moisturisers are ten a penny. Most claim to revolutionise your skincare regime and leave your complexion glowing, when the result is often something altogether different. Investing in a regular facial can be incredibly beneficial, helping your skin to soak up nutrients and feel invigorated; I always walk out of my facialist's office feeling like my cheeks are under my eyebrows and my skin is five years younger. However, facials are both time consuming and expensive, preventing them from being part of most of our lives for anything other than a luxury or yearly treat. The new YOSO Pro deep cleansing system provides the benefit of a mini facial every single day, from the comfort of your own home, in only five minutes. The simple and easy-to-use device really helps to leave your skin feeling cleaner than ever before, topped off with a moisturiser boosting function that will ensure your skin drinks up essential hydration like you've never experienced. Simple, effective, innovative - a new must-have that revolutionises skincare.

This unique 3-step deep cleansing system uses ion technology to ensure skin is cleaner and fresher than you've previously been able to achieve; working together with your body's natural ions, the YOSO Pro omits its own ions that help to enhance your skincare routine and performance of products. By simply touching the device to your face, the circuit is complete and the ion technology is activated: it really is that simple. The handheld device includes three functions (cleanse, moisturise and boost) and three intensity levels (low, medium and high) to ensure a result and experience that's targeted to your specific needs. There's no abrasive brush head, no complex vibrating circuits or heavy handheld device that becomes a chore to use; just a lightweight and easy to manage device that works practically without detection.

The 'cleanse' setting can be used after you've removed makeup and used a traditional cleanser (such as a balm or cream,) to ensure all traces of dirt, impurities and product are removed. It's essentially a toning function, as you can use a toner or micellar water applied to a cotton pad (attached over the titanium head of the device and secured in place with the plastic rings that are included.) Simply turn on the device, select 'cleanse' and the intensity of your choice, before massaging it across your face in upward motions for up to five minutes. Although initially it's a bit strange, after a few seconds it actually becomes incredibly relaxing and therapeutic; there's no dramatic movement or feeling, just subtle vibrations and pulses that help aid the process. Even though I was dubious about the amount of additional nastiness it would draw out of my skin, after only a couple of minutes I was amazed to see some serious gunk on the cotton pad. Gross, but definitely worth investing in a couple more minutes cleansing before bed to ensure your skin is looking and feeling fab.

In addition, the 'moisturise' function can be used to aid the absorption of your favourite product and leave your skin feeling incredibly hydrated. Like the 'cleanse' mode before it, all you have to do is turn it on and apply an amount of moisturiser to a cotton pad that's attached to the head of the YOSO Pro. Simply massage it into your skin, using the vibrations to help stimulate and invigorate, adding a touch more moisturiser every minute or so to really get the most out of it. The first time I used this I was amazed at how much product my skin absorbed and how there was very little residue left on the surface; considering it usually takes my skin an age to absorb even the smallest amount of moisturiser, it was clear to see the added benefit the ion technology within the YOSO Pro could bring. Every time I feel like I've had a mini facial - which is especially amazing because I simply don't have the time to arrange one most of the time!

What I love about this little gadget is the simplicity, speed and flexibility it brings to my skincare routine. I can sit in-front of the telly, or cosied up in bed, massaging my face and ensuring it's squeaky clean and incredibly moisturised... So I look my best the morning after with very little effort required. You don't need to invest in any expensive or fancy products, as you can use whatever you have within your repertoire, and it offers three functions in one. (The additional 'boost' function can be used once or twice a week for a further intense burst of ions, either after a face mask or with a night treatment, but isn't essential.) Although it's not amazing to look at, it does a great job and really has made a difference to my skincare routine. At £149.99 it is a huge investment in your skin, but if you know you need to make a change it's around the same amount as a great facial appointment - but with indefinite benefits that can be provided at your convenience. This really is a new approach to skincare and one I can see being a huge trend in 2015; I've no doubt it will be the 'next big thing'.

What do you think about the YOSO Pro? Would you add another step into your routine or invest in a gadget that could help you get the most out of your products?

This is a sponsored post on behalf of YOSO, but all opinions are my own and I genuinely like the product. (Just in case you were wondering!) It's available online priced £149.99.

    1. The Clarisonic can be really harsh and leave your skin feeling sore, whereas this helps to aid the performance of products and draw out impurities gently. I love.

  2. Intrigued. Do you know what the technology behind this is? It sounds like iontophoresis? If that is the case, then there are many such devices around. One is Sqoom, a tool that I have been using for a number of years, and completely adore. It is quite a bit more expensive than the Yoso Pro but it combines iontophoresis with 1Mhz ultrasound, so the cleansing and moisturising is done really deep (actives can travel right down to the dermis). Does the Yoso Pro also offer ultrasound? I'm keen to find out a bit more about how it works, the technical details. If it's of interested to anyone, I've reviewed the Sqoom on my blog here http://www.faceupbeauty.com/2014/01/tried-and-tested-sqoom-m2-review-part-1.html.

    1. In all honesty I have no idea, but it's worth talking to @YOSOBeauty on Twitter!

Do you not feel that perhaps the cotton pad is absorbing your moisturiser & not your skin? I can see the sense in it as a cleanse function but the idea of having to use 5 x more moisturiser doesn't sit well as mine are £100+ per pot!

    1. Nope, because you're moving it around your face and (I presume) the ions help your skin absorb it from the pad. Alternatively you can apply to your face and just use the pad to massage it in.

Hmmm... I can't help but feel cynical about the prospect of watching my Omorovicza get depleted at high speed. It'll have to be good old manual massage for me I think xCx

The YOSO PRO is designed to allow your regular cleansing products to work more effectively. You do not need to add any more or any less product, apply the same amount of product as per usual and use in conjunction with the YOSO PRO, in order to see the wonderful effects the PRO has on your skin.
Ion technology works together with your body’s natural Ions, and harnesses the positive or negatively charged particles to either extract built up daily dirt, or penetrate lotions, creams or serums deeper into your pores; thoroughly cleansing and hydrating skin, for skin that feels smoother, and looks fresher than ever before. - Team YOSO x
