I'm a big fan of the Urban Decay lipsticks anyway, but this dark cherry red (£14.00) is to-die-for; it's rich, warming and deep enough to be suited for the forthcoming autumnal months. The matching liner (£13.00) ensures you can create a perfect outline, filling it in with an identical shade for a statement finish - Uma would be proud. Complementing the lip products is a great eyeshadow quad, which is pigmented and silky smooth; again, I love the Urban Decay shadows and believe they're some of the best products out there, so it's no surprise that these are highly desirable. Although the colours aren't revolutionary, they're all you need for practically every red lip accompanying look; the key is to keep the eye relatively neutral and let the lip do the talking. Even without the Pulp Fiction connection this would be a highly desirable mini palette, especially as it's only £17.50 for five shades - a great introduction to Urban Decay shadows.
The 'Heavy Metal' liquid glitter eyeliner (£14.00) is definitely one for glitter lovers, as it provides a lot of sparkle in a minimum amount of space. It's a mix of gunmetal grey and black pigments, making it a bit more wearable and sophisticated when compared to other glitter products. Although it would look great over a simple black line across the lash line, it can also be used at the corners of the eye for a more subtle result. It's not chunky or itchy, nor does it feel sticky or uncomfortable on the lid, so if you've historically been afraid of glitter products, this could be for you.
In addition to these four products, the collection also includes a classic red shade of nail polish. The original colour used in the film was Chanel's Rouge Noir, and Urban Decay have created their own version. Although a sneaky peek at it was missing from my preview package (sob,) I've heard on the grapevine that it's nothing revolutionary and is probably a replication of a shade everyone has within their existing collection. However, all the products I've seen are really rather lovely and will no doubt be incredibly popular when they launch this September; the price points are reasonable and the products are in classic shades, making them a win-win in anyone's book. It's great to see Pulp Fiction reincarnated in this way, especially by such a fab brand that has really done it justice... I really need to catch it on Netflix! What do you think of this new collection?
