Five Blogs I'm Currently Crazy For!

There are millions of blogs out there, all offering up a tidbit of someone's life or experiences, but sometimes it's hard to see the wood for the trees when there are so many. I read a lot of blogs that cover many different genres, but they all inspire me and meet a little desire for something knowledgeable, powerful, beautiful or different. I truly believe that anyone can write a blog, but a great blog has to offer something a little unique. These are some of the blogs I'm currently crazy for, because all five of them inspire me in some way or another. I hope you love them too...

1. Amy Loves
In a sea of beauty bloggers that often just talk about lipstick, Amy's blog is a refreshing read that delves a little deeper. She's a trained beauty therapist and has a specific interest in well-being, bringing her passion to life through a series of posts that discuss how to better look after yourself - inside and out. She really knows what she's talking about and always has a great point of view, piece of advice or opinion (so much so that she often contributes to LBQ too!)

2. The Beauty Plus
From the brain child of British Beauty Blogger, this revolutionary new site pushes the boundaries of beauty and discusses products and issues that impact women over 40. Jane turns the traditional model of 'anti-ageing' on its head and celebrates getting older, believing the odd wrinkle should be embraced rather than rapidly concealed with a wonder product that shames women into buying it. A great read for women of all ages, but particularly if you're ticking the 'over 50' box.

3. Lion In The Wild
I have no idea how I discovered Kiara's blog, but it's one of the most beautiful and lust-worthy I've ever come across. Based in Australia, it's no surprise that the photos she features will make you want to pack a bag and jump on a plane - but it's her impeccable and approachable style that always leaves me wanting more. She doesn't dress in a stereotypical 'blogger' fashion, but her outfits are so well thought through and always provide me with oodles of inspiration.

4. Not Dressed As Lamb
Catherine is no normal fashion blogger. She's fricking fabulous and forty-something. I get incredibly bored of seeing 23 year olds in last month's Topshop, so it's great to see a super stylish woman still rocking the trends when she's proudly over a certain age - especially as she dresses way better than I ever could. She not only features her great outfits, but discusses blogging related issues and musings too. A great one if you love fashion but need a new perspective.

5. From The Corners Of The Curve
If you've ever had a 'fat day' where you decide you're a frumpy mess that shouldn't be allowed out of the house, (haven't we all!) then you need to take a trip over to Callie's site. She's curvy and proud of it, showing you can still ooze confidence and look incredible when you're over a size 10. Callie has single-handedly provided me with a much needed confidence boost and encouraged me to embrace every lump and bump with pride. Basically, she's awesome.

Why not check out these blogs and let me know some of your favourites too?

I love this post great recommendations. I just have one small criticism. When you describe 'From the Corners Of The Curve' you say: ' She's curvy and proud of it, showing you can still ooze confidence and look incredible when you're over size 10'. Not sure I agree with you assumption that anything over size 10 is curvy.

    1. That's not my assumption at all - I merely meant that 99% of fashion bloggers are a size 10, so it's nice to see someone of a slightly different shape!

    1. Apologies Catherine! I've changed it - I guess it's one of those language things where you read words when they're not there ; )
