Invisibobble: Your New Hair Styling Best Friend (Plus WIN Your Own!)

Hair bands and elastics aren't the most glamorous or exciting beauty accessories, but they are essential. I spent most of my teenage years walking around with an array of tatty bands on my wrist, just in case I wanted to tie my hair back unexpectedly. Now my hair accessories form more of a structured approach to styling, helping to create looks and hold my locks in place all day long. Within my kit there's a little stash of invisibobble bands, the traceless hairband that provides a secure hold without pulling on hair and causing dreaded headaches. Their smooth surface ensures there's no tangling, as well as being water repellant and available in a multitude of colours.

The magic trick to invisibobble’s traceless and elegant outcome lies in its unusual 'telephone cord' shape. When the ring is wrapped around the hair, it places uneven pressure around the circumference of the ponytail; standard hair rings put even pressure on the hair, leaving an obvious mark. This gives individual hairs more space within the ponytail than they would have when wearing a normal hair band, keeping it looking and feeling much more comfortable. There's no snagging or catching on metal elements, nor is there any need for excessive grips or styling sprays - the invisibobble ring does most of the work for you.

Invisibobble are so confident in their products ability that they've even created some super handy how-to video tutorials, showing us all how a little bobble can help create really easy and effective hair styles. They put me to the challenge to re-create some of them, including a simple day ponytail with added twist detail (because my hair isn't long enough to knot!) and a cute messy bun. The beauty of the invisibobble bands is that you can tuck hair under the band, minimising the need for additional kirby grips or tonnes of spray. You can be really creative with the bands and use them to create simple ponies, stylish up-do's and fabulous ballerina buns - amongst many other styles. I love experimenting with them and always have a couple to hand to keep my hair looking fab.

Why not have a watch of the videos yourself and check out my invisibobble looks below. To help you recreate the looks at home, I even have ten bumper packs of invisibobble bands (each containing four packs of three in black, pink, yellow and clear) to give away to ten lovely readers. 2. I have some of these they are pretty amazing i was surprised though i thought they were called invisibobble because you couldnt see them but they are called it because they dont leave marks! ....amazing!

  3. I love the looks you can do with these! They're so amazing!

  4. They look so great, i find kirby grips a total nightmare, they always fall out before i even leave the house, plus i have that type of annoying hair where 1 hair band is never tight enough, so i end up using multiple hair bands just to keep my hair in place which is not a great look, especially when i use 3 and they are all different colours, and none of them match my hair colour, ( i am a red head, so its hard to find colour matching ones ) so these seem perfect to overcome my hair band horrors lol

  5. Loved your video about smear tests, i think it is important for people to understand how important it is. I had pre cancerous cells in my cervix and had to go for a procedure. A smear test is so simple and can save lives.xx
