It's Not Glam, But It Works: FaceD 3-Luronics CC Cream

I'm a little tired of the alphabet trend. We've had BB, CC and now DD creams are about to flood the shelves of department stores, promising to deliver everything bar world peace. It seems in most cases sticking a double letter before a product name lures the consumer into a false sense of security, providing promises that simply can't be kept. It's easy to become disheartened and pessimestic, but every so often a product that comes along that delivers performance above and beyond expectations. Although it may have the most unglamourous packaging and complicated name, FaceD 3-Luronics CC Cream hit the UK last weekend and it set to cause quite a stir. Hailing from Italy, the face base has excelled in clinical trials and provides both instant and long-term benefits to those suffering from dull, dehydrated, ageing and sallow skin.

It claims to visibly reduce the appearance of expression lines in under two months, whilst instantly improving the smoothness of skin and providing the camouflage effect associated with CC creams. The beautifully textured cream is light and free from mineral oils, parabens and allergens; it contains SPF20 to help protect the skin from further damage, as well as helping to instantly moisturise the skin to leave it feeling soft and smooth. The tinted formula helps to add a healthy glow, evening skin tone and leaving your complexion feeling like you've just come back from a spa weekend. Simultaneously, molecules penetrate the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production from within - the result of which is 'noticeably reduced wrinkles over time.'

To substantiate their claims, trials on 40 women revealed both the long and short term benefits of using FaceD 3-Luronics CC Cream: 80% of women confirmed that their skin brightness and smoothness improved minutes after application; 75% of those who trialled the CC cream for 56 days reported that their skin felt softer; 68% of women reported that their expression lines looked reduced; 83% of women said their skin was more radiant. Those stats are hard to argue with.

Although I've only been using this for about a week, it really does provide an easy and (almost) flawless finish on the skin. It's great to apply when you're not feeling too great, but don't want the world to know; instantly gliding onto skin, the velvety smooth texture hides imperfections and blemishes to leave the surface of your face looking radiant. It's so effective that I barely need concealer and have even been leaving the finishing powder behind - FaceD 3-Luronics CC Cream provides the confidence that few other BB or CC creams have delivered in the past.

Available in store and online, FaceD 3-Luronics CC Cream is available exclusively from Lloyds Pharmacy. RRP £19.99, but there was a limited half price offer during the first few days so look out for more! www.lloydspharmacy.com

  1. I'm tired of the BB, CC etc etc trend, I hadn't heard of DD creams yet??

This one does sound great though, I'd rather have a product that works well than amazing packaging!

  2. I bought the Revlon PhotoReady BB cream last week and it's a bit too oily for my skin so this looks really interesting! I'm impressed that it's done well on clinical trials as well. Definitely one to look out for x

Sorry if I'm bursting any bubbles, but 40 is a pretty small sample... and 83% of that is 33.2. I'd still try it.

    1. A sample of 40 women in a clinical trial is pretty normal - it's what companies like Boots use to substantiate their claims.

  6. I've been using the FaceD 3-Luronics for the last month. Hyaluronic acid is at it's core so am finding it excellent as a day cream under my make up and as a serum/cream at night under my thicker night cream. Would like to give the one you used a go now too!
