Although I can't find out much about the ingredients or benefits this product brings, it's effectively a super light moisturiser that leaves a delicate and smooth finish on the skin. The formula is great at hydrating without leaving greasiness or heavy residue, perfect for using in the day under makeup. You need a small amount to massage the cream all around the face, focusing on the t-zone and chin area, which dries in a few minutes to leave a soft finish. It creates a matte result on skin, skimming over pores and helping to disguise fine lines, which works well to prime the skin under makeup. This is most definitely a hydrating cream with added primer benefits included, rather than a really effective primer that happens to also be moisturising, but it's a great go-to product for those of you not particularly comfortable with applying multiple layers of lotions and potions underneath your foundation.
Because it's so light and easy to use, it's been a great 'fall back' product when I'm in a rush and need to get out the door and on with my day. There's no faffing and I can rely on it to keep my skin feeling nourished and my makeup in place all day. It's not revolutionary or an absolute 'must have,' but it is a great product to have within your repertoire for those busy and sleepy mornings when you need to pay more attention to making coffee than applying your skincare. It's well priced too, costing £9.99 for a pretty big tube, so you can afford to have it on standby for when the need arises. Are you a fan of Olay?
