RiRi Hearts MAC: Rihanna does makeup

I spotted this picture on the interweb today - the first look at an impeding collection by Rihanna for MAC. Known as the brand that has collection and collaborations coming out of every orifice, it's no surprise to me that they've signed up one of the most famous popstars on the planet right now to put their name to some slap. Word on the grapevine is this will launch around May 2013, with up to four more mini collections expected throughout the year. My first impression isn't great (you can read what I really think of Ri Ri in my post here,) especially as it looks like something a Barbie doll threw up over (metallic pink doesn't scream sophistication or command a price point above £20,) but what do you guys think?

  1. Looks so cheap. Looks like a Primark collection not a MAC one, not impressed! x

  2. Looks at bit "meh" to me. Think the packaging looks terribly cheap..but always feel this with MAC collections. Will have to wait and see what she comes out with...I can imagine the product names will be along the lines of "me" "all about Ri" and other catchy titles...

  4. Well doesn't she have her fingers in all the pies. I preferred the bit with Nicki Minaj myself, but then again, I think I'm just predisposed to dislike this because it involves Rihanna.

I know it's difficult to leave an abusive partner, but it's not just that that I am judging her on.

    I'll pass!

  5. I don't like it. I think it looks quite cheap, and not in a fun way like the Archie collection they just brought out.

  8. Wow, MAC got it all wrong! That is rare, but I guess that's what happens with Rihanna on board. I dislike Rihanni. This looks tacky, not worth the price and the products aren't very nice shades! x
