Chanel: Spring 2013 makeup collection

The early part of the year is often filled with pastel shades that feel a bit samey, fluttery butterflies and dull candy colours - every springtime seems to be the same. This year, however, Chanel have kept their launches and campaign image as simple as can be, focusing on the beautifully natural finish the makeup creates. I love this shot because it looks effortless. A quick splash of lip blush, a delicate smoke a round the eye and a swish of highlighter and you're done. Not only that, but the hero product from the range is a "silky powder that highlights a face eagerly awaiting the first sunny days." (Don't we know it.) Poudre Signee de Chanel delicately sculpts the face with a halo of soft light; a pale beige shade is warmed by a peach note, meaning this is completely universal and suitable for all complexions. The product is supposed to enhance the natural colours of your skin, while complimenting the delicate shades of the lipsticks. I utterly adore the fact that it's embossed with mini logos, lipsticks and flowers, creating a striking effect that may have you struggling to dip your brush in. Get me one now!
