This weekend the telly seemed to almost explode with the Christmas adverts from pretty much every retailer hitting our screens. The adverts are as much a tradition as the festivities themselves, providing the perfect platform to get excited and start planning our Christmas lists. You know the countdown is on as soon as you see the Coca-Cola truck and here the whispers of 'holidays are comin', so here is a quick round-up of the adverts on everybody's lips...
For the first time since 2008 there's no sign of 'the girls' (which seem to be like Marmite.) Boots have created this 'lets feel good' campaign which features real people and real families, brought together by gifts that mean the world. I love this and it most definitely makes me feel all warm inside.
2. John Lewis
Possibly the most talked about advert thanks to a romance between two snowmen. (Or a snowman and a snowlady.) Although it makes me smile and I want to see Mr Snow get to his destination, it does make me wonder why he didn't just order online.
Traditionally sparkly, this is what we've come to expect from Debenhams - fairy lights, designer threads and lots of ladies strutting in sequins. I want to live in the cottage at the end, although no woman in her right mind would trapse through the snow in those heels.
4. TK Maxx
I used to think that TK Maxx was full of tat, but these latest adverts have had me rummaging around and finding some bargains. Kudos to the dude in this with the massive ginger beard - he's most definitely the star of the show.
5. Marks and Spencer
Ahhhh, what would Christmas be without M&S socks and PJs? Although this starts off quite cheesy, the advert quickly turns into a party fest that I've watched about ten times already. It brings the office party to life, while sneaking some PJs in for good measure.
Which is your favourite? What other Christmas adverts do you love?
