Topshop Beauty: Oxford Circus

Finding somewhere decent in London to get pampered that doesn't cost a fortune is hard work. What's even harder is finding somewhere that will do a good job and not leave you with half an eyebrow/dodgy waxing/nails your dog could've painted better. I remember when Topshop on Oxford Street first dipped their little toe into the world of beauty pampering and it basically involved sitting in a chair in the middle of the shop while a woman threaded your eyebrows. Oh how things have changed. The newly re-launched Topshop Beauty parlour now hosts everything you could ask for and more, all tucked away discretely in the basement of the UK's flagship store. There's the Hershesons blowdry bar that offers one of twelve different styles in 30mins, a WAH nail bar to get your talons up to scratch for fashion week, Bleach to get dip dyed or colourful hair, Stripped for all your waxing needs, a threading station and even piercings and tattoos.

The whole area is buzzing, totally in-keeping with the cool, laid-back style that Topshop is so well known for. I love the fact that you could spend a whole day here, popping from one station to the next and getting pampered from head to toe. So often my hairdresser is in one part of London, my eyebrow appointment in another and my nail technician booked up for three weeks (it's a hard life,) so this beauty paradise solves all those problems and more. Everything is pretty reasonably priced too, with blowdrys and nail art both on offer for around £25.00. Instead of going out for lunch, why not meet your mates for a manicure or blowdry next weekend?

All the technicians know exactly what they're doing and you don't feel exposed to the rest of the shop at all - there's even a selection of beauty therapy rooms hidden away right around the back for more privacy. The one thing that really surprised me was the inclusion of a piercing and tattoo parlour; how often do you pop out for a statement necklace and come back with a lip ring? In London it's so very hard to find a tattooist that's trustworthy, so the Topshop stamp of approval makes me feel extremely confident I'd be in good hands. (Hopefully more on that in the coming weeks... Oh how I tease you!) I loved this place and will definitely be going back ASAP for a jolly good relaxing session. Fancy coming with me?
