Liz Earle and The Princes Trust

One of the biggest cult products within the UK is Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. Its natural ingredients and creamy texture make it both a pleasure to use and one of the most efficient products on my bathroom shelf. If you're not familiar with Cleanse and Polish, it's a hot cloth cream cleanser that can be applied to the face in circular motions to remove makeup, dirt and impurities. You don't have to worry about removing makeup before cleansing as it cuts through all the product to remove it efficiently and effectively in a few sweeps of a cloth. For best results you should use a muslin cloth and soak in warm water, using it to remove the product (and gunky stuff) from your face. Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish has won so many awards her office needs more shelf space and the beauty industry has continually praised this cult product since it was launched in 1995. Now there's even more of a reason to stock up, as Liz Earle has teamed up with The Prince's Trust to launch a special edition version which features Rose and Lavender.

This year Liz Earle has been working with Rebecca Taylor - a young entrepreneur supported by The Prince’s Trust - who is being mentored by Liz for the Tomorrow Campaign. The Tomorrow Campaign was created to inspire the next generation and paired six Trust-supported young people with iconic mentors to create a product that will be retailed nationwide to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust. Together, Liz and Rebecca have given the original Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser a new twist. The calming and relaxing lavender oil combined with the soothing properties of rose make this product ideal for night-time use. Not only does the new edition look and smell great, but Liz Earle will donate £2.00 from every product purchased to The Prince’s Trust, helping young people into jobs and training. Liz says: “Our Special Edition Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser includes the same award-winning concentrated cream formula to remove daily grime and make up to leave skin clear, smooth and exceptionally clean, but with a special twist - a unique blend of rose and lavender essential oils to calm and relax your senses, ideal for use to ensure a good night’s sleep. Perfect partners; use our original Cleanse & Polish in the morning and our Special Edition in the evenings.”

The product is fabulous and a real must-have for any Liz Earle fan. The hint of lavender really helps to relax your senses in the evening before bed, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready for slumber. I love the fact that a truly British brand is teaming up with a great British charity and celebrating the potential of young people. I hope that this is a long-standing partnership and this special edition version of Cleanse and Polish sells as quickly as the traditional version.

Available this September priced £19.75 in a 150ml tube
