These black frames actually have tortoiseshell arm. They're pretty big frames so I can channel my inner geek pretty well, while them being extremely comfy on my nose and covering the majority of my peripheral vision. I actually love them... They make me feel a little bit like I should be hanging out in Shoreditch with some kids from a band, but I could well look like an utter plonker. Designed by Timberland (who knew they made glasses) and coming in at £125 they're pretty awesome in lots of different ways. The grey frames below are by Gok Wan who has designed an exclusive collection for Specsavers; the whole range is actually brilliant and brings an added element of cool to the store that's usually quite traditional in their designs. I adore the pale grey colour and the way they fit my face, as well as how sturdy they feel. They're not completely 'uber cool', but they definitely bring a little bit of something extra to my look. At £125 also, including lenses, you're not even paying the earth for something you know will last you a good year or two.
Specsavers offer some awesome deals too if you're a glasses wearer. If you choose any pair of glasses over £69 you get a second pair absolutely free. As both my glasses were £125 I got a whole pair for zero pennies, including the lenses and fitting. I love how all the additional fees are really clear too, so you don't end up forking out a lot more than you initially expected. You can add lots of fancy extras if you wish, but I've got reflection free/scratch free/fairy free lenses before and they didn't make a blind bit of difference. Even better is that if you also have Specsavers contact lenses on monthly Direct Debit, you even get a chunk off your glasses if you want a third pair. Here's to the glasses wearing geeks... We're taking over.
