Naked Starflower Body Butter

The most important part of my pre-bed routine is slathering on some body lotion, ensuring my skin gets the hydration it needs before I enter the land of nod. Apparently most people use lotions in the morning, but I much prefer to get the nutrients really deep down into my skin when it's repairing and rejuvenating. I always go through pots and pots of moisturiser, but this Naked Starflower Body Butter is on another level completely. If you're not familiar with the Naked range, then on the whole the brand is 97% natural and contains some fabulous rich ingredients and scents. This body butter is one of the thickest and richest I've ever tried, very much a butter rather than a body creme. It feels really luxurious to use and the scent is incredibly unusual - I didn't even know Starflower was a plant!

They say: "Starflower body butter, with luxurious shea butter and beeswax, moisturises your skin to leave it velvety soft and supple. Feels so fabulous, it may cause the sudden urge to burst into song. 24 hour moisture for skin with an insatiable appetite." It really does help to hydrate tired and dull skin, especially my scaly legs that have seen a razor blade far too often. It sinks into the skin's surface well, not leaving you feel uncomfortable or sweaty. I have applied this to sunburn too and it has a real soothing property, even though that's not its designed purpose. For £4.99 a tub (that will last forever - I'm only a little bit through mine after two weeks) this is an absolute bargain and puts The Body Shop's body butters to shame!

Available in Boots and online for £4.99

    I also like the packaging.
I have the bad habit of forgetting to moisturize my body but I think i need to start doing this, maybe at night when i have more time. My skin's thirsty! haha

  3. Hi Lauren - yep, I've tried the Body Shop butter and it's really nice, albeit a bit greasy. This is better in terms of really hydrating skin and being a thick formula to slap on.

Judy - defo apply cream before bed as your skin has time to properly absorb and rejuvinate. It's also better as you're less in a rush!
