Clinique: Even Better

The 'even better' collection from Clinique has become an iconic range, winning over 60 awards worldwide since its launch and becoming one of the best selling skincare ranges in the UK. The original range includes a dark spot correcting serum and moisturiser, designed to target uneven skintone and reduce dark spots. Being dermotologically tested and developed means it can really compete and be compared with prescriptive treatments, having women screaming from the rooftops after seeing the successful results for themselves. In addition to the skincare products, Clinique have just launched a foundation and concealer with the same benefits to ensure skin can be brighter that you thought possible.

The new Even Better foundation contains SPF15 and is an oil free formula, meaning it helps to protect the skin from further damage whilst sitting comfortably on the face. It's a 'powerful foundation developed to help combat hyper-pigmentation and deliver brighter skin, both immediately and over time.' The foundation includes treatment benefits to improve the appearance of skin and the coverage is full without being heavy - the formula isn't thick or gloopy, but just enough to cover imperfections well whilst smoothing the skin. It doesn't cake, you don't need a lot to get great coverage and leave you with a flawless base on which to build the rest of your makeup. It comes in over 30 shades too, meaning there's the perfect match for you out there. I'm quite pale so the shade for me is 'Alabaster', perfectly matched with a 'Porcelain' concealer.

The concealer comes in a little glass pot so you can apply with your finger, a brush or even a sponge. The formula is quite thick, providing great coverage to even the most stubborn of blemishes in a jiffy, but without being too gloopy or caking. It sits on dark circles well, not budging all day and highlighting areas to bring radiance to skin. Also containing Vitamin C, it feels refreshing to use and very comfortable on the eye area, even giving horrid blemishes the cold shoulder. The best way to apply this is to press the concealer into the skin and the roll your finger to either side, ensuring it's really placed into the skin rather than just on top. I've been using both these products for a few weeks now and I have to admit I've already started to notice a slight difference in pigmentation to my skin. If you're concerned or have issues with uneven skintone these products may make your life a little easier and a lot more radiant.

Available now in store and online. Foundation RRP £26 and Concealer RRP £18.00

  1. Always tempted by Clinique but I'm always apprehensive to invest when they don't give me samples to try, there's so much in the range I'd like but obviously can't afford because I am poor, wah wah wah. Apparently they now say if you buy anything and don't like it for whatever reason you can return it. Soooo I may actually give this a go #worstskinever.
