Competition: Look Beauty Boxes

One of the most popular launches of the last year has to be the makeup line launched in conjunction with my favourite weekly magazine, Look. The quality, spectrum of colour, innovative packaging and tongue-in-cheek approach make it stand out while being absolutely affordable. I've got a load of products from the range which I've been meaning to share for a while, but for now I'm telling you all about the new beauty boxes which make picking out a new look so much easier. This fabulous sculpting and bronzing collection is essential for anyone who wants to wash away the winter and embrace the sunnier months, even when it's starting to chuck it down outside. It contains a blush, bronzer, highlighter, double ended blending brush and a 'how to' guide to ensure you create the perfect glow in no time at all.

The products themselves are pretty good quality, considering they're worth £33.00 all together and the box comes in at the bargain price of £18.00. The compacts are perfect for popping in your bag, containing a little mirror and a sturdy (pretty unbreakable) case, and the shades are very wearable without being overly pigmented... Personally I'd prefer a bit more colour, but as a starter kit this is perfectly subtle and universal. The 'Glow & Go' highlighter is also easy to use, allowing you to blend a little shimmer into cheekbones - just be careful not to use too much as you may look like an extra from Starlight Express. The double ended brush, in my opinion, isn't thick enough to pick up a huge amount of product or blend, but it's great for chucking in your bag for a subtle touch-up or dusting away shine.

The boxes provide a perfect introduction to the range and help the less experienced of us to create looks we'd always wished we could.
