17 Cosmetics - Beca's Tunage

A while ago I spent a dreary January afternoon in a very cold, dark underground club with 17 Cosmetics as they filmed a special music video for Beca. The New York musical superstar had penned a song inspired by their Peep Show Mascara and they were busy beavering away creating a fab music video for her. You can read my original post here (and interview on set with Beca) but below is an exclusive look behind the scenes of the day. This is part of a whole campaign whereby 17 are championing unsigned or up-and-coming artists by asking them to write songs inspired by their makeup. All the songs chosen over the next year will be recorded and promoted through 17's Facebook page, as well as available for download - I love this idea both as a makeup enthusiast and avid music lover!

Here's the finished result - a fabulous smokey and slightly sultry few minutes set to a cute tune. If you want to download the tune you can do so for free on the 17 Cosmetics Facebook page here! Get involved you fabulous lot...

  1. Fantastic post, such a good idea!xx

  2. You know I always thought 17 products were cheap and nasty, something you gifted to 8 year olds, but over the last few weeks I've realised how wrong I have been!
I don't know it's because they've changed their approach, rebranded themselves or what have you, but they're actually extremely good products for the price!

Thanks to you and a handful of other bloggers I'm now buying from an affordable brand that I would have just dismissed in the past. Thanks :)

    Devon xx

  3. I was exactly the same though - I never would've gone near it, but actually the products are ace and really affordable. It deserves more credit than it gets I think.
