Kiss It Better with GOSH and Clinique

There are a few charities that really resonate with me, but ever since I was a very young girl Great Ormond Street Hospital (or GOSH for short) has been a very important part of my life. When I was 5 years old my third cousin was born and all I can remember is that he spent a lot of time in some posh hospital in London trying to get better. He was born with Hydrocephalus, as well as other abnormalities that I won't go into here, and was in a very serious situation indeed - so much so that we were told he wouldn't be able to walk, talk or have any value in life. Effectively he was going to be a vegetable. He spent his entire childhood in and out of hospital having endless operations and reconstructions (so much so we lost count) before being transferred to another hospital upon reaching 18. GOSH has been a very important cause for the whole of my family for as long as I can remember, because he isn't in any way, shape or form a vegetable... He's a cheeky f**ker of a 23yr old with a life, a car, a flat, a girlfriend and most importantly a future. Without GOSH I don't know where he'd be, but in my heart we owe his life to that amazing place. It's for this reason that I'm supporting and encouraging the GOSH 'Kiss It Better' campaign that's being run in partnership with Clinique.

Throughout the month of February, Clinique is partnering with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, raising money to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancer. The exclusive new Limited Edition Kissable Lip Set is available at www.clinique.co.uk and in House of Fraser stores nationwide priced £25.00 - with every purchase of this special set 50% of the RRP goes to the appeal. A £2.00 donation will also apply to all Clinique lipstick or lipgloss sold at House of Fraser stores nationwide, throughout February 2012. (£1.00 will be donated by Clinique and £1.00 will be donated by House of Fraser). This is such an easy and simple way to support a charity and a hospital that does so much good work - please do what you can to help. Eejits like my cousin wouldn't have the life they do without it.

I really love it, and am glad that I also helped the GOSH charity in the process.
