Bathing in milk

I religiously moisturise my limbs before bed because I'm so prone to dry skin. This time it's even worse, with the wind and frost playing havoc with my legs and getting through the material on my sleeves. I normally slap on as much moisturiser as I can get away with and hope that it does the job, believing that some of the cheaper brands are more than adequate to help my skin out. I've had this massive bottle of Biotherm body lotion for ages and have only just started to use it, but I'm totally and utterly in love. The light formula smells of oranges and literally melts into the skin. You only need two small pumps to cover each limb, rubbing it in softly while it instantly starts to absorb. It's non sticky and sinks in fast, moisturising skin upon first touch and making a difference in moments. Since using this I've noticed that I don't absolutely need to moisturise every day, because the body milk does such a good job at both protecting skin and injecting much needed moisture.

They say: "Deliciously smooth and fabulously fresh, this everyday body milk instantly helps the skin look smooth and satiny. It works to help repair flaky skin, restore the skin's protective barrier and protect its natural elasticity. This anti-drying body milk with citrus extracts is a true pleasure, every day, with a delicate fragrance and light texture that is neither sticky nor greasy. The milk penetrates easily into the skin, leaving it fresh and perfectly hydrated." It really is quite divine. Although a big bottle of this will set you back around twenty quid, you need such a little amount that it lasts for ages. It also gives you much more moisturisation than a £3.00 bottle from Superdrug, which is exactly what we need in this cold weather.

Available online and in department stores priced £21.40 for 200ml

  1. This sounds really great but its so expensive! does look like a really big bottle though.

  2. As much as I love SuperDrug a lot of their own brand products lack in quality. Some are great but some are a bit useless.

  3. Ah, one of my all-time faves! Totally worth the price, I have been buying this for years! HOW amazing is the smell, too? Makes me nostalgic for my modelling trips as a newbie! xxx

  4. I thought it was going to be some ok old blog post, but frankly it compensated for my time. I will post a link to this page on my web site. I am sure my site visitors will find that very handy.

  5. It is expensive, but I think it's worth it - I had a spray tan done yesterday and the beautician commented on how smooth and moisturised my skin felt. All thanks to this!

  6. Ok, totally sold on that.. it sounds wonderful.
