Rodial's Glam Balm has just turned ten years old, cementing it as a beauty favourite and cult product. In celebration of this anniversary Rodial have released two new products which contain the same Glam Balm base - a lip balm and hand cream. Hubba hubba. The lip balm contains a special formula designed to plump and fill the lip area, while repairing dry and chapped lips. It also includes something called 'filling spheres' which apparently fill fine lines, giving you a smooth and pouty pout. Not only that, but rose wax and shea butter help to nourish and soothe chapped lips, while Vitamin E protects against environmental damage. All that in a lip balm you say?
This has to be one of the most luxurious lipbalms ever invented. Packaged in a giant pot, the rose tinted formula is silky smooth to the touch, gliding over the lips in one swoop. It makes your lips so smooth and kissable that you can't stop rubbing them together with glee, keeping moisture in and nasties out. The formula lasts for quite a while before needing to be applied again, plus it does ever so slightly plump out lips to make you pout like a pro. At £19 for a pot it doesn't come cheap, but the pot is a giant 10g (compared to a standard lipbalm stick of 4g) so comparatively it's not as expensive as you may think. Who doesn't need a little luxury in their life anyway?
The second product in the range is the fabulous Glam Balm hand cream. It contains olive leaf extract and Vitamin C to repair, protect and moisturise skin, correct sun damage and minimise imperfections, as well as shea butter and grapeseed oil to ensure hands are silky soft. It smells divine - almost like a nutty, sweet ice cream - and a little blob will moisturise hands and leave them feeling relieved from winter woes. It absorbs quickly and leaves no residue, meaning it's perfect for using on the go or having by your desk. The massive downside of this is that it's a whopping £39 for a 50ml tube - possibly the most costly hand cream to have ever graced these shores?! Who in their right mind forks our forty quid for a handcream? The dream died on this one when I saw the price tag... Oh well. At least for the time being people are stopping by my desk just to have a blob of the good stuff.
