LFW: Swedish School of Textiles

You've got to love graduate shows - they break up sometimes repetitive fashion with some crazy abstract creations and a thirst for pushing the boundaries. I popped backstage before the Swedish Textiles show to find out what makeup and hair the models were rocking. A chat with Toni & Guy's head stylist on the show told me that they were keeping it simple, creating high shine simple styles to keep the focus on the design of the clothes, complemented by very neutral makeup to enhance their beauty. Some of the models were wearing hair pieces so the high shine contrasted well with the flatness and rough texture of them. Here are a few pics from before the show...

The clothes themselves were amazing, creative and detailed. The clean lines of the hair and the minimal makeup was all that was needed, but also works towards the trend for next season that seems to be all over the catwalk. I'm loving the details in the buns too - twists and plaits, making the hair a little more exciting and a bit different from the ballet look from when I was 12. Definitely wearable and definitely timeless.
