Hello sunshine... hello burnt limbs. That's normally how my first dates with the sun go every year, so I've made a resolution to start slapping on the lotion at even the hint of a hot day, just so I don't go beetroot. I can't believe they haven't done it before now, but iconic fake tan brand St Tropez have launched their very own SPF sun care range right in time for the British April heatwave to kick in. The range consists of an SPF 20 and 30 for the body and SPF 30 and 50 for the face, as well as an aftersun. They're packaged in typical St Tropez style - simple, sleek, a little bit sassy and a whole lot cool - in these easy to use squeezy tubes.
The body sun care line is light to apply and doesn't leave any white marks or residue, although you do get a slight bit of that 'sun tan lotion' feeling for a while as it takes about 15mins to fully sink in. A little goes a long way so I'd say a bottle would get you through a week in the sun, but you do need to keep re-applying to make sure you're fully protected. Formulated with Melanobronze (who thought of that?!), an innovative ingredient which helps stimulate melanin production to help enhance your tan naturally, it also means you'll come away with a natural looking bronze glow without damaging your skin. The formula also contains Muru Muru butter and Vitamin E so your skin feels moisturised and nourished. It's about time I had a sun tan lotion to accessorise my fake tan with. Bravo.
