Dove are one of those brands that the majority of people have in their beauty collection without realising. They make good, quality and reasonably priced products that are effective and transcend barriers of age, gender or background... they simply have something for everyone. They've now extended this collection into lip therapy, launching two new lip care products into stores this month. The lip balms are available in two variants - shimmer and caring - and come in a stick format so they're easy to pop in your bag and use on the go.
The caring formula is a basic, almost invisible, gliding balm and the shimmer has the slightest hint of shine. There's not much difference between the two and they don't feel any different on the lips either so they're interchangeable. Dove have infused the sticks with moisturising cream so they glide on and impart a really comfortable layer onto the lips, without having that drying feeling you get after a while with some other 'moisturising' balms I've tried. The feeling hangs around for a good few hours too so you don't need to constantly re-apply.
It's about time Dove extended their collection and lip balms seems like a natural progression. At around the £2.50 mark these are cheap as chips too so you won't need to break the bank to get your hands on them. These will be available from all the major high street retailers over the coming weeks, so make sure you keep your eye out and pick one up.
