Fuzzy Face

Now I've turned 28 this apparently is the time I should start thinking about anti-ageing skincare. Who knew that you could look like a teenager yet still need to stock up on those anti-wrinkle creams? I'm all for giving things a whirl and the latest thing to drop through my letterbox (or not because the box is pretty huge) is the latest product from cult slimming brand Slendertone. The new Slendertone Anti-Ageing Face Toner uses all the same technology and ideas as the regular version (you know the one that your mum used to use around her stomach to achieve Mr Motivator abs) to buzz you to clearer, plumper and more radiant skin.

When I first saw this and opened the box I thought it was basically an MP3 player and headphones! It does look a bit strange, but the modernity and simpleness of the product really made me question what I thought the brand was about. It's very lightweight and looks quite 'Minority Report' so I can imagine sitting in front of the telly buzzing away to my hearts content (no dodgy intentions here.)

This is the blurb they have to say.... "Slendertone Face is a revolutionary anti-aging product, harnessing EMS toning technology to work your facial muscles. Regular, at home use of the product boosts muscle volume which in turn lifts and plumps the skin smoothing out the surface to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to building muscle volume and lifting the face; the increase in blood flow improves the condition of the skin and gives a radiant complexion. A convenient head set positions pads on either side of your face to target the Facial nerve which controls all the facial muscles; gently but effectively exercising them to firm and tone - delivering a natural facelift from the inside out."

I'm going to be using the Slendertone Face for 30 days to see if it really can make a difference to skin. Stay tuned to see ridiculous pictures of me using it and hilarious stories about how I managed to electrocute myself - although I'm 99% sure this is impossible. It's gonna be a rollercoster, but I'm ready.

  1. Hiya, this should be very interesting. I always thought a face massage was all it needed... I am looking forward to hear your verdict, if you are still alive that is, self-electrocution and all... LOL

  2. This might just be one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen when it comes to anti-aging.
There are people that numb their muscles using botox and here you are, semi-weightlifting so to speak using this strange device.

I am eagerly awaiting your verdict, Ms LBQ.

  3. I am actually excited to see what you think of this! It looks gimmicy but if it works that would be great! Best of luck!

  4. Ooh, love Slendertone! Have used one myself for the past 2 years when I can't be bothered with situps. Actually bought Mum one today!

Please take lots of photos as you go along. An indepth blog report would be much appreciated :D

ps. voted for you in the Rodial blog awards. Well done and good luck!

  5. Good to get your feedback girls... think I'll start doing weekly updates. Treatment starts tomorrow!
