Diet Coke break

Finally, the best offer since the last Nails Inc/Diet Coke collaboration is finally available in store - yep, another Nails Inc/Diet Coke collaboration! In the name of research I trotted on down to Boots in the pouring rain, filled my basket with bottles of pop, got quite a few strange looks, made the shop assistant go 'out back' to get me the missing forth shade, and trotted on home to try the polishes out for you. I have to say I wasn't disappointed... I think these colours may even be better than the last lot.

The shades are as follows... Delicious Denim, Perfect Plum, Heavenly Heather and Cool Caramel. The shades in reality look a bit different from the promotional shot, but I have to say I love them all and honestly can't pick a favourite. The blue shade is bright and unusual - not your normal blue hue, but something deeper and more exciting. The 'plum' is actually a deep cherry red that could become a classic berry shade to transcend the seasons. The 'heather' applies like a beige-lilac non-colour that Nails Inc have become so popular for in the last few collections... a shade that's beautiful but you can't quite put your finger on what it is. Finally, the 'caramel' is a gorgeous camel shade that would suit anyone and make a great alternative to a neutral pink or brown - plus, it's on-trend at the moment with all the camel and safari pieces that seem to be all over the High Street.

If this is going to be an annual occurrence, then Nails Inc and Diet Coke will make me a very happy beauty blogger. The varnish applies like a dream and is the same quality as the normal polishes, unlike other brands who produce cheaper alternatives to offer on promotion. For eight bottles of coke (£9.60 FYI!) you get four polishes, plus a fridge full of fizzy pop... Now ladies, what are you up to this weekend?!

  4. I tried all the Nails Inc mag freebie polishes before and found their formula sticky and easily chipped, so am quite surprised that you enjoy them. Would you say they're comparable in quality and application with OPI or Jessica?

With so many Nails Inc promotions and fantastic colour range, I'd be really tempted...if only to convince myself the last 4 bottles I've got are duds.

  5. To be honest all nail varnish chips so I wouldn't be put off unless it was really bad or flaky - Nails Inc is definitely one of the better ranges in my opinion. I find OPI overpriced a lot of the time and their polishes chip as much on me. I've not used Jessica in years so I can't say. You can't complain when you're paying £9.60 for four polishes though!
