BURTS BANNER

Cool Britannia

One of my favourite brands has done it again with the launch of the latest Batiste dry shampoo variant, simply entitled Batiste Brit. You should all know by now how much I love a bit of dry shampoo as it just va-va-vooms your hair at the push of a button. You don't even have to use it on 'day two' hair, but can use it on freshly washed barnets just to create a bit of texture or to make it easier to pin styles together. I've tried many other dry shampoos from much more expensive brands, but the formula is never as effective as Batiste - plus they're all at least double the price. This new launch just sums up everything Batiste is about as a quintessentially British brand that has been saving our follicles for over 30yrs.

The scent of this unisex product is possibly my favourite out of the whole range - fresh and really, really reminds me of See by Chloe. A posh fragrance in a dry shampoo for about two quid? Winner! Batiste Brit is available exclusively in Superdrug for the time being and would make a super cool stocking filler because the packaging is uber stylish. I love the fact that they've embraced who they are and capitalised on the British love for a dry shampoo. To celebrate the launch they yesterday held an afternoon tea in the East End's Brick Lane... it was such a fab afternoon, with every detail thought of, that I thought you'd like to see some pics. Just don't get jealous of my personalised cupcake.

1940s hair styling went down well with my mate!

Batiste have even launched a competition on their website for the best Batiste-inspired 'do - the winner will get an amazing goodie bag featuring other cult British brands, including a Mulberry handbag (swoon), worth £1000! Get there now.

  4. I saw this the other day but wasn't sure what colour it would come out, but I'll definitely be picking it up for the scent alone now! I love your 'do...I can never get my victory rolls right!

  5. I'm not going to go into all the other dry shampoos I've tried as we'll be here all day, but like I said, Batiste is the best in my opinion.
