Good Things come to those who...

I've been on the hunt for a good face mask for a while now to replace the one I've been using since forever. I can't abide those awful sachets that get thrust upon you in every store... I like a good tube that I can use as much as I like and not have to throw away every time I use it because I can't get any more out. After my failure of Decleor I was delighted to find this arrive with my postie over the weekend. Having just had the mother of all Friday nights and suffering from the mother of all hangovers, I stripped off quicker than you can say 'Jaegerbomb' and jumped in the bath.

The formula of the Good Things face mask is literally made up of just that - lots of good things. Top ingredients include green clay and kaolin to draw out impurities, avocado oil to moisturise, goji berry extract to soothe and willow bark extract for radiance. It all sounds very lovely and it smells pretty amazing too - not so overpowering that you feel like your covered in Jelly Tots (mmm) but just enough so you get a whiff every so often which quickly perks you up. The texture is lighter than a traditional clay-based mask which can be hard to maneuver around your face. It's runnier so you don't need too much to cover your t-zone, which also means that when it dries you don't have that awful feeling like your face is cracking off in small pieces. It was comfortable enough to keep on well over the 5 minutes it recommends, because I basically couldn't be bothered to move, and it didn't dry out my skin at all. In fact said Friday night had inflicted a pretty awful monstrosity upon my forehead, which with the use of Good Things quickly reduced to about half the size.

Overall my face felt cleansed, refreshed, smooth and not at all dried out. You could easily use this twice a week to maintain a good complexion base, whilst getting the added benefits from the fab ingredients. The range is also free from all kinds of nasties, including Parabens, SLS, mineral oils and animal products. I adore the simplicity of the packaging whilst still having that hint of girlyness. I've got a few more Good Things to try out over the coming weeks - so it definitely is the age old saying 'good things come to those who wait'.

  2. I've only heard 'good things' about good things. I'm yet to try them out, but this looks good. I agree about sachets of face mask - they're such a waste! xx
