Damage Control

You must have seen the advert by now... "Straightening and bleaching and dying and curling. Drying and brushing a hair finger twirling..." Every time I see it I smile a little bit, inside and out. I was sent a sample of the new Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner a while back, and knowing that my Mum already uses and loves their other hair ranges, I passed it over to her to give it a whirl.

This is what Dove has to say: "Dove understands that hair damage is a fact of life. The new Dove Hair Damage Therapy range has been specifically formulated with this in mind, providing exceptional damage repair to meet every type of hair need. The range contains patented Micro Moisture Serum to tackle surface damage and for severely damaged hair, Dove has developed patented Fibre Active technology that deeply protects, nourishes, and reconstructs internal hair to leave it beautifully soft and smooth."

Sounds pretty good, eh? I completely forgot that I donated my samples until Dove were in Westfield shopping centre this weekend, showcasing the new products and doing some kind of hair therapy on passing shoppers. So off I trotted to find out what my mother thought, and in her ever simplistic way this is what she said: "It's a nice, pleasant, mild smelling shampoo and conditioner.  You get a very creamy feeling from both and the two products compliment each other well.  My hair felt soft and looked shiny straight away.  It's a nice everyday duo that felt as special as more expensive brands." My mother, ever the one with words.

So ladies and gentleman, you've got the seal of approval from Mama LBQ. She uses the Dove range already for hair and skin and has normal, slightly frizzy, hair. She's not once for faffing so if she likes it it must sort out her barnet. Now I kind of wished I'd kept it for myself! And if you havent seen the advert already, you HAVE to go take a look here. "Straightening and bleaching and dying and curling...."
