Lacy Ladies

I'm a big Avon convert. It used to be a brand I shied away from (well, actually pretty much ran away from while my Nan was trying to get me to order something from her catalogue) but I've now fully embraced the Avon Lady. Their products are truly fab and massively good value, often giving you a beautifully packaged premium product quality for a snippet of the price. The latest addition to the Avon's catalogue (ahem) is this new fab lace collection - Lace Luxe.

Lace has been featured all over the catwalk and the high street for the past few seasons, making it an inevitable staple for some time to come. With this fab collection you can really transfer that trend into your makeup bag too - there's nothing wrong with coordinating your lipstick to your dress! All the products come in their 'original' black packs with a hint of pink lace to highlight the trend. These are limited edition so you better run out and grab some pronto.

The collection contains Supershock mascara in black, eyeshadow palettes in Lace Hues and Lace Electric, Ultra Rich lipstick in Instant Mocha, Frostiest Mauve and Pout, plus Supershock Gel Eyeliners in Black and Silver. All the shades are perfectly on-trend for the miserable few months we've got ahead of us. The focus is on deep, dark, sexy eyes and subtly nude lips. Here were my personal choices from the collection: the eyeshadow quad in Lace Hues, black eyeliner and lipstick in Pout:

The pigments of the eyeshadows are fab, enabling you to get a striking colour really easily. The formula is silky and soft, making it easy to blend and create a beautiful smoky eye look. I've got these quads in various other colours and they're definitely ones to grab, especially as they only cost £8! The eyeliner is super soft, easy to apply and still gives a great jet black result. It is also perfect for blending in with the other shadow colours for a deep, dark eye. The lippy is smooth too and really easy to apply - it even contains jojoba oil and vitamin E so your lips will not only look fab, but be moisturised and kissable too. This is definitely one collection I'll be coveting this Autumn.
